Personal Training at Eastside Athletics
Eastside Athletics exists to raise the standard of personal training by replacing quick fixes and trend-driven workouts with education, intention, and long-term health. Our goal isn’t just to change how people look, but how they live.
Our Mission: Stronger Bodies & Brighter Lives
Our mission is to help you become the strongest, healthiest, most capable version of yourself. And to give you the tools to maintain that strength for life.
We don’t want you to rely on a trainer forever. We want to teach you how to train, why your program matters, and what it means to build a body that serves you for decades.
We aren’t just here to coach you through workouts. We’re here to change the way you understand health and human performance.
Meet the Founder: Alina Muller, MS, OTR/L, CPT
Alina began Eastside Athletics after years of seeing how transformative strength training can be not just physically, but emotionally and psychologically. As a former gymnast turned occupational therapist and personal trainer, she has always been drawn to helping people reclaim the confidence and capability that movement brings.
Her career has taken her from clinical rehab settings to being one of the go-to trainers in Silicon Valley for complex pain, mobility limitations, and long-term training solutions. She is passionate about debunking harmful fitness myths, challenging old-school biomechanics-only models, and bringing a biopsychosocial, client-centered approach to mainstream strength training.
Her vision has shaped Eastside Athletics into a place where people of all ages and backgrounds learn, grow, and thrive through thoughtful, science-backed coaching.
Our Training Philosophy: Teach, Repeat, Empower
At Eastside Athletics, we teach you how to train the way you learn any meaningful skill — with repetition, reinforcement, and clear understanding. Our “Teach and Repeat” methodology ensures every client learns:
How to lift safely and effectively
Why each exercise matters
How training affects body composition and long-term health
How to recognize and regulate effort
How to train independently with confidence
Your trainer is not just a coach. They’re a teacher, mentor, and guide. The goal is not just to help you succeed in the gym, but to help you become someone who understands their body and training well enough to succeed anywhere.
Ready to Start Your Training Journey?
During your introductory session we will discuss your goals, prior training experience, and relevant medical history. Additionally, we complete a brief movement assessment and full-body workout. This allows us to get an understanding of who you are, how you move, and your current fitness level so that we can design a program specific to you and your goals.
