Marissa entered the world of coaching after losing 40 pounds during college. Experiencing firsthand how strong, capable, and empowered she felt through strength training, she realized she wanted to help others feel the same. That passion led her to pursue advanced education, ultimately earning her Master of Science in Human Performance & Wellness.
With more than 12 years of coaching experience, Marissa specializes in helping clients build strength, move without pain, and develop long-term confidence in the gym. She works with a wide range of clients , from everyday adults to athletes, and has extensive experience supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, peri- and post-menopause.
Marissa is bilingual in English and Spanish and is known for creating an encouraging, informed, and inclusive training environment where clients feel both supported and challenged. Her approach blends evidence-based programming with compassion and relatability, making fitness sustainable and truly enjoyable.
Outside the gym, Marissa is a mom of two who loves spending time outdoors, exploring new experiences with her family, and discovering local restaurants. She also enjoys cooking and baking, especially when it’s something she can share with the people she loves.
